After a successful business meeting relaxation is the order of the day. The smartphones are on the table. A quick call to the family. But the batteries are almost empty. Leave the smartphones unattended at the bar to charge them? Not the best idea.

A lively conversation develops. One question electrifies both. Why can’t we charge our smartphones right here at the table? The solution is not long in coming this evening. Outdoor tables with charging stations for mobile devices. At this very moment the idea for Cucer is born.

As enthusiastic advocates for regenerative energies, Bernd Gieseler and Reiner Mack quickly get to work. Because the basic technology is already available. Now the right tables will have to be built and space has to be found for the technical components. It has to be tables that combine robust craftsmanship with filigree, sustainable materials and solar technology. In 2018 Cucer GmbH gets started by four people. Meanwhile Cucer produces dining tables, lounge tables and bar tables with photovoltaic glass and Cucer power station in numerous sizes.

Smartphones and tablets, together with countless mobile devices, have become indispensable in our modern world.
